Refunds and cancellation

1. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel a Maren subscription at any time from Settings or via the "Manage subscription" link in any Maren billing email. Cancellation stops future charges immediately. Paid access continues through the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged again after that.
2. Refund eligibility
Maren is a digital subscription service. Once a billing period has started, we do not issue prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by applicable law.
The exceptions, granted at our discretion:
- Duplicate or accidental charge.If you were billed twice for the same period or charged for a plan you didn't intend to start (for example, a free-trial signup that auto-renewed despite cancellation), we will refund the duplicate charge in full.
- Service failure. If a verifiable outage or defect prevented you from meaningfully using the paid features for a substantial portion of a billing period, we will issue a credit or partial refund corresponding to the affected days.
- Local consumer-law requirements. Where the law of your jurisdiction grants stronger refund rights than this policy (for example, statutory withdrawal windows in the EU/UK), those rights apply and supersede the terms above.
3. How to request a refund
Email support@joinmaren.com from the address on your Maren account. Include the date of the charge and a short description of the issue. We aim to respond within two business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via Stripe; bank settlement usually completes within 5–10 business days depending on your card issuer.
4. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is in error, please contact us before initiating a chargeback through your bank or card network — we can almost always resolve billing disputes faster directly. Accounts with chargebacks that bypass support may be suspended pending resolution.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the effective date at the top of the page will reflect the most recent revision. Changes apply prospectively only and do not affect refund eligibility for charges incurred before the update.
